We use it. We trust it. We supply it.
CM Products offers a broad range of condition monitoring tools and test instruments to help you detect faults early, optimise maintenance and protect critical assets. Our portfolio includes thermal and acoustic imaging systems for heat and leak detection, precision shims to improve machine alignment and extend bearing life, and automatic lubrication systems that deliver consistent lubrication to minimise wear and downtime.
We also supply advanced online machine monitoring platforms with multi-sensor capability that capture, trend and analyse continuous condition data from vibration, temperature and other key signals, giving you a complete real-time picture of equipment health.
In addition, CM Products stocks a selection of high-performance electrical and diagnostic instruments, including insulation testers, dielectric response analysers, and dissolved gas analysis solutions for transformer and high-voltage asset monitoring, as well as partial discharge and vibration monitoring tools that support robust predictive maintenance programmes.
These products deliver actionable data to help maintenance teams prioritise interventions, reduce failures and maximise uptime across industrial and electrical systems.
Meet The Team
Scott Henderson
Founder/Director/Trainer
Scott started his reliability journey completing 14 years in the British Army as a senior maintainer of rotary aviation assets (helicopters). Operating across the globe in various roles, reliability engineering and condition monitoring was key to operational effectiveness and safety. After relocating to Australia and 6 years working for a variety of industries in reliability roles, Thermalign was born and has now celebrated 10 years of business.Scott believes in hands-on, real-world solutions, to real world problems. As a trainer he brings his wealth of knowledge to the classroom with a very personable approach. His extensive experience in the condition monitoring field across many industries, allows Scott the knowledge and true understanding that is the hallmark of an effective trainer. He continues to add to his credentials and training portfolio in many disciplines that he has been actively involved in for some time.
Chris Hill
Senior Analyst/Trainer
Working in Condition Monitoring for over 25-years, Chris is a remarkable Senior Analyst. Certified to ISO Cat 4 in Vibration Analysis since 2014, he is an entirely professional trainer with current real-world experience in both walkaround and online vibration systems, plus the new and emerging technologies such as Motion Amplification. As a facilitator of formal and informal training, he is an engaging and passionate presenter. Volunteering as a firefighter since 2000, Chris has worked his way up the ranks in the CFA and is still actively involved in emergency management when the need arises. A dedicated, community minded individual and highly valued Team member, Chris is an ideal mentor and role model to up and coming condition monitoring technicians and reliability engineers.
Jim Potter
Reliability Engineer
Jim is a Mechanical Engineer with a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) (Hons) from Swinburne University and more than 15 years of experience in reliability engineering and condition monitoring. He is certified in Vibration Analysis ISO CAT III, Infrared Thermography Level 1 and Ultrasound ISO CAT I. His career has spanned mining, water infrastructure, industrial processing and manufacturing, with strong capability in vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, laser shaft alignment, bearing installation and root cause failure analysis. Jim also has extensive experience working with CMMS platforms, SCADA systems and rotating equipment acceptance testing to Australian and international standards.
Over the past years with, CM Groups, Jim has worked as a Reliability Engineer delivering condition monitoring services across a broad range of industries. His role includes remote diagnostics, mentoring in vibration, thermography and ultrasound, database development, and defect elimination programs for critical assets. Jim is recognised for his analytical approach, clear communication and steady leadership in high-risk environments, consistently supporting safe, structured and data-driven maintenance practices.
Jack Patton
Reliability Technician
Jack is a trade-qualified heavy vehicle mechanic with more than 18 years of experience across mining, heavy transport, automotive and renewable energy sectors. He has worked extensively in mine site field service throughout the Bowen Basin, carrying out heavy machinery maintenance, component overhauls, hydraulic and drivetrain repairs, and fault diagnostics on CAT, Komatsu, Terex and Liebherr equipment. He also owned and operated a mechanical business, managing operations and delivering servicing and repairs across light vehicles, 4WDs and earthmoving equipment.
He later transitioned into the wind energy sector, performing turbine maintenance, breakdown response and major component works across Vestas, Goldwind and Senvion platforms throughout Victoria. Jack is recognised for his dependable work ethic, practical approach and strong commitment to safety, consistently delivering thorough and reliable workmanship as part of the CM Groups team.
